Options for Care-Tech Research Electric Lift Tables

Care-Tech tables can be customized with several options — or, if you need a table with options we don’t offer, you may be able to order a custom-built table with exactly the specifications you need. The standard options are:

Fitted Covers — $

To protect your table’s upholstery, add a perfectly fitted cover made of cotton-poly material tailored to the special shape of your table.

For the Flora, the price is $ .

For the Attitude, each part has its own cover with an elastic sewn in to keep it in place. The main body cover is cut 2" wider where the side expansions are so you can pull the expansion out under the sheet, the price is $ .

For the Pregnancy, same as the Attitude plus covers for the abdominal pillows, the price is $ .

Foam Latex Layer System — $

This option consists of a 2-layer foam system: 2" of 4209 foam and a 1" layer of latex foam. The latex foam layer system offers a more luxuriously “feel,” more comfort for your clients, and is ideal for any treatment that requires you to work with your hands between client and table surface. Regular foam compresses under your hand until it matches the pressure on top of your hand, giving you that “crushed” feeling. By contrast, on a latex foam system your hand is supported by a sheet of latex that spreads the pressure over a wider area, making it easier on your hands.

Latex foam is the milky sap of the rubber tree, Hevea brasiliensis. It is a complex intracellular product of a system of cells that synthesize a polymer (cis-1,4-polyisoprene), which is the main component of natural foam latex rubber. This natural foam latex rubber is produced in Africa and South Asia, South America, Indonesia and Sri Lanka, where trees are tapped for foam latex by cutting a spiral groove in the bark and placing a spout and collection cup at the base.

Since the latex is fully enclosed, we have had no adverse reaction from latex sensitive clients reported by our customers.

Dual-Action Face Rest System — $

The dual-action face rest system is helpful with the Ab-Solution Pregnancy Table, whenever you need your face rest to be higher than the top of the table, as in the later stages of pregnancy or for barrel-chested individuals. The height adjustment is accomplished via a gas spring. The tilt or angle positioning utilizes a ratchet-type mechanism. Both functions are intuitive activated via two levers under the top. You can adjust the face rest with the patient positioned.

Note: the dual-action face rest system can only be added to the MediSpa table with some special adjustments. Please inquire if your are interested in this option for the MediSpa.

Long Bar Switch — $

This option replaces the standard toggle switch (an oval-shaped footpad) with the ergonomically superior long bar switch. The long bar switch is conveniently mounted on either side of the base towards the foot-end of the table. The bar switch is easy to operate by feel: simply push down to raise the table, or lift up to lower the table. The long bar switch has an almost indestructible design, is easier to operate intuitively by feel, and it can be reached from just about anywhere at the side of the table.

Extra Switch (Toggle Style) — $

Add an extra switch (toggle style) at the head end of the table, for more convenient operation of your table’s lift motor(s). With a head-end switch, you will be able to adjust your table height while working on your client’s head, face and neck — without getting up.

You may prefer to add a strip switch at the head-end instead. The toggle switch can be repositioned at the end of its cord anywhere around the head of the table. If you do your work at the head of the table, standing up rather than from a chair, the "floating" toggle switch is a good idea.

Extra Switch (Strip Style) — $

Add an extra switch (strip style) at the head end of the table, mounted to the cross bar at the base, for more convenient operation of your table’s lift motor(s). With a head-end switch, you will be able to adjust your table height while working on your client’s head, face and neck — without getting up.

Plug — $

The plug option is simply a solid plug to replace your face-crescent, filling the hole in the table and creating a solid table surface.

“Sta-Soft” custom upholstery colours — $

Deep Sea— the standard colour for Care-Tech Research Tables. Choose a custom colour!

Choose from a dozen colours of Sta-Soft Naugahyde custom upholstery. Care-Tech Research tables come standard with the popular Dark Teal colour upholstery, shown to the right. You may also wish to upgrade to Whisper upholstery, and choose from an additional 25 colours.

Sta-Soft Naugahyde is the upholstery fabric used with every Care-Tech Research table. It provides outstanding durability in health care environments. Sta-Soft is resistant to oil stains, and formulated to achieve a superior level of disinfectability with disinfectant products containing sodium hypochlorite (common house-hold bleach) diluted 1:10.

Whisper™ Upholstery Upgrade — $

Replace the standard Sta-Soft table upholstery with leather-like Whisper™ upholstery, available in twenty-five colours. Whisper™ feels softer and less synthetic than Sta-Soft Naugahyde. It has excellent tailorability, and seams are smoother and more pliable. Please note, however, that oil can stain Whisper™, whereas Sta-Soft Naugahyde will not be stained by oil at all. Whisper™ is less slippery and sheets stay put when the client turns around on the table. We feel Whisper™ fabric is an ideal choice when your table is not covered with a fitted sheet and is uncovered between patients. Thanks to the great colour pallet, it is easy to match with any colour scheme used in your clinic.
